KAIT provides a report worth it's own special attention (warning: that video is a long clip and action is many minutes in):
Connie Cline, a former female police officer in Maynard, recently terminated, talks about a video supplied to the station that shows the mayor making sexist remarks while talking to her husband, police chief, Lonnie Cline. He recorded the meeting with a clip camera he wears on duty.
On video Mayor Gary Hart appears to say, "If it's got tits, you got problems. You know what I'm staying? At my house, maybe not yours, but at my house, if you got tits, you got problems. (laughing)." :
The remark is supposedly directed at female members of the city council. They've since asked the mayor to resign. He's refused. Connie Cline has filed an EEOC complaint over her termination.
And what does the mayor say?
Region 8 News went to Maynard City Hall to ask the Mayor about the accusations and if he made the statement caught on video to the police chief, in which he replied, "No, I said if it's got tires and wheels it's got problems."
Tits. Tires. About the same.
