It is REALLY nice outside. Take a break from the blog and go enjoy the sun. But just in case you wanna chat...the line is open.
*OMR! It remains unclear whether the office of Lt. Governor would serve His calling of spreading the gospel of Himself, but He is giving it consideration. The prayerful kind, natch.
*EXPAND-O-METER Charlie Frago reports this morning (paywall) on a study from the Jackson Hewitt Tax Service (which has been mentioned a few times by commenters) that finds that Arkansas businesses could be on the hook for $26 to $38 million in fines if the state doesn't expand. These fines would be avoided either via traditional Medicaid expansion or the new "private option." One nice get from Frago is getting a Republican on record as against expansion even after the "private option."Sen. Bart Hester brings out the old classic: "I ran my campaign opposing Obamacare." Sounds firmer than Nate Bell's doubts.
*PEOPLE TALK, STUFF GETS STRANGE: For those that can't resist CPAC-watching, I'd recommend Dave Weigel, a dogged reporter who tells it like it is without settling for find-the-crazies journalism.
*LEGISLATIVE HOOPS: For all you #arleg types that enjoy inside-ledge jokes — or for anyone that just likes fake '70s basketball cards — don't miss the Ledge-ends of the Game!
