It’s Friday, folks! The first of 2013. We, here at Eat Arkansas, are looking forward to another fabulous year of eating and exploring throughout the state of Arkansas. I’m incredibly optimistic about the future of our food scene. We’re fortunate to have some top-notch chefs, bakers, and restaurateurs in central Arkansas and I’m looking forward to seeing what they’ve got brewing in their pots.

With New Year’s celebrations still visible in the rear view window, fill us in on how you decided to ring in 2013. What eats and drinks were at your party? Where did you decide to celebrate? There were plenty of parties around town, with many locales buzzing with the sounds of some excellent local music. Who caught your ear this year?

We love gathering your feedback on Eat Arkansas and we enjoy putting your suggestions to the test, so please keep ‘em coming! Recently, on Food Feedback Friday we discussed the impending arrival of Pizza Café to West Markham and the purported resurrection of the Villa’s old menu (via Kat Robinson), the perseverance of P.F. Chang’s, potato soup and roast beef sandwich from Old Mill Bakery (via NeverVoteRepublican), the Reuben sandwich, brats, and Belgian ale at The Flying Saucer (via edubb273), the seductive seafood noodle soup at Saigon Cuisine (via Red Kitchen Recipes), and the shrimp with Chinese vegetables with fried dumplings at Fantastic China (via cecil).

Have you discovered any new restaurants? Got any insight on recent menu changes? Heard any rumors about coming eateries in Arkansas? Please spill your secrets!
